I vote with my hard earned dollars to meet my needs. Since there are many establishments out there worthy of my vote, seeking out and qualifying which ones to try and which ones to avoid is always a challenge. Here’s to hoping Menuism helps!

Good food, good service

Simply a great place for Thai food in the Eastside. It gets busy during lunch and weekends, but they have a great way of getting customers seated, served and then paying in a jiffy. Plenty of parking makes it convenient for a downtown location.

Dishes I tried:

Crispy Garlic Chicken (King’s Favorite)

My fav' pho

I remember when Than Bros opened this as the 2nd location next to the original in Aurora. My wife and I became frequent customers because it was closer to where we live. But even now with the proliferation of Pho establishments in the recent years, we still make the drive to the U district knowing that we can count on being served the best pho in town.

A Seattle Times food review says it all. There are a lot of things that visibly make their pho great: toppings, contents, and free custard puffs. But my wife and I believe that their key to being great is the broth.

Dishes I tried:

Pho Bo - Tai Chin Nam Gau Gan Sach

14 choices to choose from, and I always go for the works. #14, in a large bowl.

My wife doesn’t eat beef so she goes for the chicken.

beer, bite and the boob tube

Even before 100% smoke-free bars became the law, this place has been a favorite Eastside place to grab a pitcher of Mac and Jacks and pub food plus keep track of sports on TV. It’s a great place to hang out with friends or officemates after work. Relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, free parking.

Dishes I tried:

Chicken wings (L)
