At the urging of an enthusiatic friend, we went for brunch at Little Nest. Brunch is our favourite meal out, so we were looking forward to trying out the new place in the neighbourhood. However, I was disappointed by their lack of organization at the counter (read chaos) and then by the length of time to just get my freakin’ coffee. They clearly have aspirations of being the place for foody parents but the menu is limited due to their choice of an open kitchen (no grill), the portions tiny, & the service was frustrating. Comparisons were made with the Foundation, which had a similar rough beginning. Let’s hope Little Nest manages to hold it together during this fledgling stage, although we won’t be going back anytime soon.
