I'm so confused
Being a carnivore I have a highly anti vegetarian sentiment to most things vegetarian. So I was incredibly skeptical when it came to spending $10-20 per person for vegetables. But I was pleasantly surprised.
The service was prompt and friendly. The meals are reasonably priced, and the flavors quite good. Granted I made the mistake of expecting the meat substitute to taste like meat, which it didn’t for all. But for soy it was actually pretty good. It’s a small spot so be prepared to sit close to other diners, the decor is fine, nothing make or break.
I say it’s worth a try, I know that I’ll probably go back at least once..if no other reason than to figure out what the beef substitute really tastes like.
Dishes I tried:
Melting Culture
I love anything that tastes like roti canai from Malay Satay Hut.
Spicy Noodle w/ beef
The sauce was good and flavorful. The soy beef didn’t taste ANYTHING like beef, but that’s my fault for thinking it would, it was actually pretty good soy protein..food substitute.
