I think more people should love hooters. It’s just an awesome restaurant. I’ve spoken to so many people about this restaurant, and the only reviews I get is: Oh boobs (from the men), and How can you like that place (from women). And I always respond with..so what if there’s women scantily clad..we live in a society where people dress in virtually nude manners on a Saturday night anyway so big deal I say. (I mean look at 1 out of 2 women in Belltown).
But really the food is GREAT!! The service is always super friendly. And it isn’t really a bunch of pervs gawking (there is the occasional one..but that’s it). The atmosphere’s a blast. I think the random singing and dancing is part of what makes it a fun place to be.
So I say ladies forget your inferiority complexes and feminist attitudes and grab some fried pickles and wings.
p.s. they even have a full bar now, which makes it all the more fun.
Dishes I tried:
Fried Pickles
Who would think fried pickles would be good..but they really are!!
Oyster Roast
The shucking is a tad annoying at times..but if you ask the girls, they’ll do it for you.
Key Lime Pie
Other than at Johnny Reb’s in LA this is the BEST key lime pie I’ve ever had. It’s perfectly sweetened and yet doesn’t take away the flavor of the key limes.
Wings
The wings of course it what I come for. I like mine 911, and I’m not a fan of tearing apart the wing (vs drumette) so I have the waitress do it (it’s an amusing spectacle..with the latex glove and all)
Chili Cheese Fries
A meal in itself, but worth the coronary

There’s just no way to go wrong at CPK. I’ve been eating here for at least 10 years if not longer. It’s one of the few large chain restaurants that has phenomenal food. The quality of food is consistent, as is the service, and pricing.
I’m not a fan of Cheesecake Factory because to me it’s highly mediocre and over priced. CPK personifies what “tendy” chains should be.
Dishes I tried:
Chicken Tequila Fettuccini
My favorite dish on the menu. I always ask them to make it extra spicy. It is absolutely divine. It’s got the perfect blend of spices and lime. I don’t think I’ve ever gone to CPK and not had it.
p.s. I don’t believe there’s any tequila in it.
Bbq Chicken Pizza
It’s perfect! The sauce isn’t too spicy, or to bland, in fact it’s just a little sweet and tangy…which for this pizza is perfect. I love the crust of their pizzas, never to thick, chewy, or hard for that matter, but rather perfectly crisp and thin. I love that the pizza has cilantro on it.
Sesame Ginger Chicken Dumplings
Never soggy or tough. Always perfectly seasons and steaming (it drives me nuts when food comes to me luke warm)
BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad
A great spin on the traditional salad with cubed chicken. I think more salads should have scallions and cilantro in them.
Chinese Chicken Salad
This is my favorite commercial Chinese Chicken Salad. It’s got the perfect blend of ingredients. So it’s never too sweet, or jarring with all of those different elements coming together.

I love the pizza here. If you’re a creature of habit and only like your pizza with specific toppings then you might as well stick with Pizza Hut. But if you’re the slightest bit adventurous then definitely check this place out. They have the most interesting combinations that you really wouldn’t think would be great on a pizza. Needless to say the randomness is super yummy.
Like most pizza places you can buy by the slice, so I suggest just going in and picking up a couple different kinds to see what strikes your fancy.

I went to the hat at least once every two weeks. The sandwiches are amazing!! A pastrami sandwich with tons of creamy style horseradish and you’re in heaven. If you’ve got company then you have to share the chili cheese fries.
I’m still not sure why they haven’t franchised the hell out of this and have them on every street corner.
Dishes I tried:
Chili Fries
The chili cheese fries are a coronary waiting to happen. But hey you only live once, and you might as live well.
Pastrami Sandwich
Never have I see so much meat in a sandwich. This is definitely an exercise for your mouth, but it’s worth it.

I’m not even a burger person, but man do I miss In-N-Out. It really is the best hamburger anyone will ever have. It’s reasonably priced, the service is always friendly, and the food is so fresh. It’s absolutely incredible.
As a side note I think it’s neat that on the bottom of their glasses it always says John 3:16, or just 3:16. It’s one of the few restaurants which prides itself on being a Christian organization, and gives it’s employees great benefits, holidays, and what not…I’m not a Christian myself, but I still think that’s a neat deal.
Dishes I tried:
Vanilla Shake
Not gross and chemical tasting..or so thick it makes you short of breath while trying to drink it.

This is where I come to feel at home. I spent a part of my childhood in Rancho Mirage, which, in my opinion, truly is the height of both sophistication and effortless class, unlike it’s sister cities like Palm Desert, or much of Palm Springs. And Oceanaire personifies desert life.
It’s a restaurant most of us would go to on a special occassion, dressed up and on great behavior, however the average person in oceanaire (during the summer) is wearing a golf shirt, bermuda shorts, and boat shoes, drinking whiskey, shooting oysters. That too in a party of 10 people on a Tuesday night.
The service is well deserving of the 15-20% tip, I truly believe that if you’ve made reservations and yet you still have to wait, there’s nothing wrong for a host/hostess to take a drink order for your party.
The food is to die for!!! The best escargot I’ve had in years. The oysters are always fresh and never too fishy or slimy, my favorite item on the menu is the angry halibut. It’s a little spicy, but well worth the extra glass of water.
The deserts are wonderful, and for some reason being there just seems to call for champagne..don’t ask me why, I’ve yet to figure it out.
The portions are hefty so definitely take your time, linger over the meal with good company

I really like this restaurant…It’s too the point and there isn’t a frill about it..
I hear that the hot pot is the big reason to go..unfortunately I’ve never had one there. But I am a big fan of the hand shaved noodles, the (I always forget the name and go off of the description) fried chicken with chili peppers, and the best dish on their menu, in my opinion, the cumin lamb.
There’s many great dishes on the menu, all of which I hope to taste one day..well other than some of the creepy animal parts on the menu. This is one of my favorite places to be on a rainy Seattle day. It reminds me of something out of an Amy Tan book. The patrons being kept warm by the heat from the kitchen. The aromas just wrapping themselves around you, piping hot tea, wonderful concoctions being brought out on large platters.
To sweeten the pot it’s reasonably priced.

Definitely a place for the locals, tucked away in Pike Place market, just around the corner from Il Bistro, Alibi Room has the best bloody marys I’ve ever had.
Citysearch voted Alibi Room to have the best bloody marys in 2006. And I couldn’t agree more. I’m not a big fan of the food there to be honest. I always feel it’s highly mediocre. The crab cakes are always too fishy and dry, and the chicken is tough and gamey. So I don’t go there for food. Just bloody marys and maybe a light bar snack to take down the spiciness of the bloody marys.
There’s always an eclectic crowd followed by eclectic bands. So it’s always an interesting experience. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

Il bistro is as classy as Seattle gets. After years of living in L.A. my biggest complaint in Seattle has been that most places are mediocre and over priced, followed by pretentious to the degree that I’d rather not go out.
But Il Bistro is the cure for all of those aversions. In the heart of Pike place market Il Bistro manages to stay tucked away from the noisiness of downtown and all of those just out to impress.
The food is of an impeccable degree. They have a great wine selection, and a full bar with a great whiskey selection. I love that the staff remembers you by name just after one visit, and you can close the bar down while sitting around having your last drink with the owner.
Their menu is great whether it be for a formal dinner or a light snack at the bar. With new chef specials and seasonal entrees you’re never stuck to the same old menu.

My family and I have been going to Noble Court for a couple years ago, and it’s been consistently wonderful. The restaurant is always efficient, clean, personable, and has great food.
The dim sum selection is great. I love that most of ladies pushing the carts speak English, that makes it SO much easier to find what you’re looking for.
It’s a fun place to go with a group of people because then you can try so many different things.
