Wonderful mom-and-pop restaurant. They’re temporarilly closed while they move one block North on Montgomery Rd— they will reopen as ‘Emanu: An East African Restaurant’ sometime this fall… I hope…

The ambience leaves something to be desired— it’s located on the 2nd floor of a cozy building in DC’s Chinatown— but well worth the opportunity to explore this cuisine.

The salads are great— especially the Green Tea Leaf and Giner— and the Kokang Chicken, for which I’ve never been able to find a recipe, is great!

Great family owned restaurant— this will be a regular stopover for me.

Great food. The scallops/spinach is great, as was the seasonal fruit gazbacho soup.

Part of a family-owned chain that now operates in several other cities, Mary’s Udipi offers all vegetarian southern cuisine. The weekday lunch buffet is a killer, and comes complete with complementary Dosas.

It’s really an Armenian Place, but apparently it’s easier to pull people in with the more generic name. The Entrees consist of choise of garlic fried potatoes or pilaf and meat. I’ve been told they’re good, but I find the many appetizers even more interesting. Anything with mushrooms is good. They sometimes run out of an appetizer or two, so always have a plan B before ordering

Friendly Korean restaurant in a strip mall. Wait staff were very attentive, and sample appetizers were included with the meal

Reasonably priced, if limited, lunch specials and many options for dinner.
