i’m very picky about what sushi goes in my stomach so don’t be turned off by the 2 stars i gave it. the sushi is great. if you look at my review on niban…it’s almost there. it’s definitely not that really gross stuff you’ll find at like costco, and it’s absolutely better than the average sushi bar such as sushiya. I highly recommend the volcano roll and the crazy california roll. be warned that their sushi is a little on the pricy side so plan on at least $20 if you’re going to hit up their sushi menu. the size of the sushi is pretty good so i’m not too disappointed with that. the only thing that really turned me off to the place was the service. it was freaking slow. and i came when service was supposedly faster than normal. my cousin and his roommate have apparently have waited a little over an hour for a couple of beers. beers! crazy. but anyway, one thing that i found different was that they put all your sushi on one or two plates, so make sure you know what you got. but if you and your friends are just sharing everything, there’s no problem there. :) so overall, it’s got great tasting sushi, but it’s a little pricy. but if you’re like me it won’t be too bad because i have never tipped the waiters here more than 5% if any tip at all for the sluggish service, so it makes up for the expensive food :)

Genki Living. I never thought a crepe sandwich would taste so good. I never would’ve thought of a crepe sandwich to begin with. Don’t be discouraged by the wait; it’s completely worth it. I was there for the first time last night with PASS :D and the food is bomb. The pricing is pretty decent but if you’re looking for a sandwich and dessert, you’re looking at around $10; but it’s a pretty big serving, especially for the dessert. I found it very filling. I highly recommend their chicken club crepe sandwich. As for dessert crepes, I recommend any fruit mixed with nutella and ice cream __; they also offer their dessert crepes with cheesecake or chocolate syrup instead of nutella if that’s not your thing. Definitely a really great place to eat if you’re looking for an amazing dessert. They also have boba :). I think I’ve found one of my favorite spots in Irvine.

coming here i was expecting an average steakhouse…like outback; not that outback sucks. but, the servings here were huge. my cousin wasn’t kidding when he said he has never made it to dessert. one thing i saw that i haven’t seen anywhere else was their onion rings; it’s not overly wrapped in flour, it’s just pure onion with light flour, so its nice and thin and really crisp. the bbq is amazing. i highly recommend any of the combo plates; you get your money’s worth. afterwards i felt disgustingly good if that makes any sense. the service was very good as well. be prepared to ask for extra napkins; you’re eating at a smoke house, please use your hands like everyone else. they give you hot towels to clean your hands off afterwards anyway.

reallly nice looking place…haha kinda felt like i was walking into something like a p.f. changs; pricey asian food. menu was decent when it came to prices. it feels a lot like pick up stix. i would say service is a lot more like a restaurant than the cheap service at pick up stix. the food quality is in between pick up stix and p.f. changs. you can’t go wrong with the cream cheese wontons __

you’d think with the cool little call buttons on the edge of the table would speed up the service…it didn’t. the food was pretty decent for the price. the sushi was satisfying after having to shell out unnecessary cash at maki maki and receiving less than what i expected. yeah…it’s a pretty decent establishment.

So much better than your average asian buffet. The environment is much brighter than other buffets. The quality of food there is definitely a step above the others as well. although a bit pricey, it is very much worth going to if you’re looking for a high quality seafood buffet.
