Great restaurant and great pub
I absolutely LOVE this place and have to have dinner at the Santa Monica McCool’s every time I fly out to LA. The food, waitstaff and bartenders are fantastic. And they always have really great musicians playing there.
Dishes I tried:
Portobella Mushroom Salad
Decadently delicious!!! I even licked the plate, LOL. I asked our waitress for the recipe for the dressing and she actually went to the chef and wrote it down for me. Such a sweet girl to do that.

Waste of time and money
I got the Mussels di Napoli appetizer, way overcooked…rating Zero! My entree was the Venetian Apricot Chicken….had to wait for 30 minutes only to get a plate served with the tiniest piece of chicken I have ever been served in my entire life. Plus it was burnt on one side, flattened out as thin as a pancake….rating Zero!… it was barely bigger than the meat on a Krystal’s hamburger, seriously.
My husband ordered the “Seafood Alfredo”….rating Zero It was more like macaroni and cheese. There were 2 pieces of shrimp and 2 teeny little scallops in the entire dish.
This was my 50th birthday dinner and it was awful. We drove over 60 miles (each way) to eat at this Olive Garden. Not only was the meal lame, but when I asked for butter for our bread sticks the waitress (not smiling the whole time) walked off in a huff and came back and literally tossed the pads of butter onto the table.
I will NEVER go to ANY Olive Garden again, ever. And I will highly NOT recommend it to everyone I know.
