Dominican Food, Hard to Beat
This is a very small restaurant where you always see the locals enjoying food. The person that serves the prepared food is also the person that brings it to your table.
It is a true mom & pop establishment in every sense of the word. The decor was hideous but they were remodeling. But I went there to eat…not judge their ambience.
The food was very traditional and flavorful. I am not excited about seeing my food in a display case, but it did remind me of NY cuchifrittos (the is a fried fritters place). If you want good Dominican food for an affordable price…drop in.
Dishes I tried:
Rice, Beans, Half-chicken
The food was good. The rice was a lot drier than I recommend or like, but that may be due to the fact it is sitting under lamps. The beans were good and the chicken (rotisserie) was amazing. They do chicken right.

04/02/2008i take the same attitude towards restaurant decor – you’re there to eat, not look at the design! thanks for the review.
