Shopgirl

This is my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant. It is the benchmark for all other Mexican places, and nothing yet has measured up.

It is a small place in downtown Glendale where the salsa is fresh and the chips fabulous. It’s hard not to get full on these free appetizers before your main dish comes!

The other great thing about this place is that you get a lot of bang for your buck. We always order off the “mini” menu and still sometimes have leftovers. The regular size items are huge. I love their chimichanga and taco salad; there hasn’t been a thing there that I haven’t liked. The other great thing is mild means mild- I don’t like spicy food at all and I have no problems with anything labelled mild- though I’m sure the hot stuff is hot!
