50's type diner atmosphere, brightly lit, will return
Soup crackers were served with my salad. I was eyeing the breakfast food on the menu, but I decided to go with the chopped salad because I haven’t found a good place to buy fresh produce. I spent $13.50 after tax for a huge salad and wonderful cherry float. A little bit more than my $10 allowance, but it was really good.
The atmosphere was brightly lit, 50’s diner type with extensive menu. Reminded me of the Mel’s diners in San Francisco.
Dishes I tried:
Chopped Salad
Really Big dinner salad – this was my dinner – it was big enough that I was full. I always order oil and vinegar with it. Peppers, chick peas, whole bunch of other vegies on top of mixed greens. All fresh.
Cherry Soda Float
They probably used Dr. Brown’s Cherry Soda. Very big – it looked so nice I took a picture of it with my Holga and expired film. It had a ton of whipped cream dripping on the edge. Another reason I took a picture of it, like a root beer float when the vanilla mixes and it gets all foamy – this one exploded out of the top with the cherry soda. If you looked at the soda itself, it was bubbling in weird ways that looked cool and tasted great.
