Fast Service, Great Bar!
Glad that I had the opportunity to come here! The food is great and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. There are multiple sports games on as well as trivia games to play. I recommend trying their mixed drinks – they have a full bar with a large selection. The Blue Seas Cooler is fantastic!

Always a Chicago Classic
What’s there to say? Its Portillo’s. If you’re not a Chicagoan, forget pizza – they’re the Chicago classic that you gotta try when you’re visiting. If you are, then you shoulda been there by now.
Dishes I tried:
ITALIAN BEEF
Can’t go wrong with a Portillo’s beef + hot peppers.

Unpleasantly Pretentious
You know, there are some experiences with the staff at restaurants and the overall atmosphere that overwhelm the the food itself. For me, Brio was one of those. The first time I stopped by with my family, their tables were fully booked. However, it wasn’t a simple, courteous, “I’m sorry, we’ve booked all our tables.” The response my professionally dressed, adult family got was borderline sneering. Terrible first impression!
We should have learned then. After making reservations several days in advance, we found the food and the atmosphere average and unremarkable. Our dinners seemed overpriced for their quality. And seriously, nobody can be that “sophisticated” when they have a kid’s menu.

Delicious, healthy (and yes, vegetarian)
As the owner does whenever somebody new walks into his restaurant, I will begin by disclaiming – this restaurant is vegetarian!
OK, now that that’s over, this restaurant is GREAT. If you like Indian food, this is a quiet, authentic, peaceful place to get a meal at a great price. The food is healthy, and always very nicely spiced. It has a family atmosphere and is a good place to hold a quiet conversation.

Worth any U-Turns involved!
Yes, its in the most awkward strip mall on Butterfield, but I promise that Momotaro is worth it. If the fresh, carefully prepared sushi isn’t enough, their late afternoon ‘happy hours’ (food and drink specials) will be!
They also do carry-out orders. You can pick up a menu at their door.
(edit: Their new “Blue Ocean” roll may be the BEST food invention of the summer! Yum!)

Everything on the menu is delicious!
I wish that this California chain had a better foothold in Chicagoland. I stopped in expecting a Panera clone, and I was in for a surprise! Their bread is amazing, and I have never had anything that wasn’t fresh, creative, and delicious.
I’m absolutely in love with this restaurant! They do speedy carry-out and coffee, too.
I recommend their Spring Salad and their Turkey Cranberry sandwich.
Dishes I tried:
SPRING SALAD
Fresh greens, blue cheese, dried cranberries, apples, and delicious dressing. Yum!

Not too good, not bad
The Yorktown Mall area is fortunate to have at least four sushi restaurants in a couple mile radius. I’ve eaten at them all, and I would have to say that despite its big name, RA is the most mediocre. I may be biased because I prefer more authentic sushi, and RA seems to really Americanize their food (they tend towards less spice, a lot of mayo, and fully cooked rolls). Probably a safer bet for people who aren’t too keen on unusual food.
They have a great bar, and its a fun place to go with friends. I don’t want to give the impression that their food is bad. However, if you are looking for a more quiet, authentic sushi experience, I would recommend Yokohama or Kyoto nearby.
The staff is very nice, but they also are so busy that they tend to forget orders. I have now had this happen to me three times out of the less than ten I have been there. It feels like their management spends more time worrying about what their young female staff are wearing than how overworked they are.
Bottom line: This is a good place to take your date if you want to go somewhere trendy and don’t really like sushi.

Excellent Food, Reasonable Prices
Beautiful restaurant with excellent sushi for a very reasonable price. Their fish is fresh and their sushi chefs always add unique flair to meals, even when I’m there by myself and not ordering too much food. The only tricky part is finding parking at peak hours.
