It’s cart food at its best. Winner of the past Vendy Awards for the best food cart in NYC. For $4 you can get a huge serving of either chicken over rice with a salad or lamb over rice with a salad. Its cheap, but its definitely not cheap on flavor thats for sure. It beats all the other Middle Eastern food carts in Manhattan. Its a must try for everyone!

Great restaurant! I don’t even know where to begin. I went there for lunch a few weeks ago and enjoyed myself thoroughly. The ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant was typical of the Meat Packing District area. Very flashy modern decor with every waiter and waitress extremely attractive. Our waitress was fantastic. She was incredibly helpful in suggesting orders and was not stuck up or snobby as most restaurants are in that are of NYC. The food was to die for. I split a plate of sushi with my parents as an appetizer. We had a tuna roll, salmon and avocado roll, and an eel with avocado roll. The eel with the avocado was my favorite. Completely unique in comparison to the other eel and avocado rolls that I had. It had a delicate crunch, which was a nice compliment to that roll. For lunch, I ordered the Kobe beef bento box. It was quite the large serving. The bento box was of a higher class. The kobe beef was served with a salad, miso clam soup, seafood tempura with a creme fraiche sauce instead of the regular dipping sauce, and 6 pieces of sashimi and 3 pieces of sushi. The food was to die for. I was incredibly stuffed, but my mom insisted on trying desserts. We had some kind of bread pudding, which was alright. It was plated like a deconstructed bread pudding w/ the bread crumbles on the side. We also ordered some hazelnut cake which was fantastic. The sides to it were a pomegranite gelee and a very tart green apple. It was definitely an interesting dessert and I’d definitely order it again. I also ordered the White lily cocktail. I dont even know what was in it. But it was absolutely delicious. Sweet, refreshing, and without the taste of alcohol. Its a must order for sure. Morimoto was a great experience, and I’ll be sure to return another time!

Went to Cafeteria a few days ago, and although the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was nice, the food was not up to par as all the reviews say. The service was not as bad as most state. I was expecting to be served by pretentious waiters, but I was caught by surprise when they served no different than a regular restaurant. The staff was polite, but a bit slow and that may have been due to the fully packed restauant. As for the food, I ordered the macaroni and cheese with bacon because of the great reviews for it. I was fully disappointed by my order. It was an exceptionally creamy macaroni and cheese, but definitely nothing to write home about. I also ordered a side of green beans and garlic. At least this was up to par, but I’d like to think its difficult to screw up green beans. A friend of mine ordered the special for the day which was the fried catfish. The main protein was delicious. Perfectly breaded and seasoned. As for the the corn bread, collard greens, and whipped sweet potatoes that came with the catfish, I must speak highly against it. The corn bread tasted like some awful health food that was dry and without flavor. The collard greens were extremely salty. (Felt like I was going to have a spurt of hypertension when I tried them) And the sweet potatoes had no flavor except for what sweet potatoes taste like. I was expecting maybe a hint of butter or a hint of brown sugar, but it was definitely a disappointment as well. I’d say the restaurant is worth going to once just to experience it. But, I know I have no plans of returning again. I can find a much better restaurant with much better food for a better value.

I had higher expectations seeing that it’s owned by Bobby Flay. I’ll give Flay credit in the uniqueness of his dishes. Food-wise, I didn’t find it anything out of the ordinary. The tartare I had there was delicious though and the ambience of the restaurant made for a perfect. But, if you’re aiming to eat at a Flay restaurant, I’d skip on this one and try Bar Americain instead

The restaurant wasn’t too bad. I’m not too big of a fan of fusion cuisine. I would say the food is good, but nothing to really rave over. I agree that the last review about the peruvian corn was a very interesting side dish. I actually really enjoyed that. It was a Shrimp and Chimichurri Anticuchos. It was like barbecue sticks in a peruvian style with the corn. The corn was really interesting actually, not what is normally associated as corn. The corn used in this dish was of a more chewy consistency, which almost reminded me of a potato. Anyway, aside from that I also had the chicken teriyaki samba style, wish was really good. It was a good portion size and was really filling. Something to be sure to try while dining here are the cocktails. They’re awesome here. Aside from the food, the ambience is great. I’m a big fan of Brazilian samba, and thats all they play. Its a lively environment to dine in for sure.

I’d give this pizza probably 1 more star if they were opened late night, but since its in the financial district, of course it isnt. If you’re hungover and are dying for a slice, Lisa’s provides you with what you need. Not entirely the best pizza around town, but its a cheap on the go kinda deal. Only resort to it, if you’re desperate for pizza, drunk, or hungover.

What is Hawaiian barbecue you ask? It seems to me that the best way to describe it is a fusion between Korean, Japanese, and American food. What Hawaiian cuisine is best known for are the lunch plates. Lunch plates usually include two scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and a protein of your choice usually a teriyaki style beef (but tastes more like Korean bulgogi) or a beef short ribs (similar to Korean kalbi). You can find that here at L&L. In addition they have other Hawaiian specialties like Spam Masubi, which shows some Japanese style of cooking, by wrapping a slice of Spam on top of a square of rice wrapped all in seaweed. The food is good here at L&L, but it definitely doesn’t compare to the real thing. Try the Aloha Guava Nectar or the Passo-Guava. Its quite the refreshing and sweet drink to try. If you’ve ever been to Hawaii and have tried a mixed plate, this is the closest thing you’ll get to it, seeing that I haven’t found any other Hawaiian restaurants in NYC. Prices are decent, all dishes are under $10.00 for a heaping mound of food.

If you’re living in the financial district and are craving really cheap American Take-Out, Great Wall will do. The chow fun noodles are alright, the onions are a little overpowering in it and the veggies are lacking. The combination dishes are given in the right portions for chinese take-out, but the actual food itself is nothing to rave about. Only go there if you’re desperate for Chinese Take-Out and are feeling way too lazy to walk to Chinatown to grab some.

I had a quiche and salad there and although it was delicious, the price was not worth it. Their balsamic vinagrette was to die for. Not too tart from the vinegar, but just right and made eating salad so much more enjoyable. Europa is like a stuck up Au Bon Pain and Cosi. If you’re in the mood for that type of food, you’re better off sticking to a normal NYC deli or stickin with Au Bon Pain or Cosi.
