Similar to Cold Stone, The Mix makes your ice cream exactly how you want it. You choose the ice cream flavor(s), and you choose what gets mixed in it. It’s simple. I personally prefer it to Cold Stone just because the ice cream is better. Give it a whirl.

A fantastic selection of Italian food to choose from, and a seat right on the wharf to go with it. Very rich courses and desserts, so make sure you can loosen your belt a little bit. You might have to wait a long time if you don’t have reservations, and parking is a pain, but you won’t leave dissatisfied. Try ending the night with their chocolate cake.

An after dinner dessert stop better than this? Unlikely. Although manned by non-Japanese, this mini Japanese mart is a jewel on Clement. Their dessert crepes are the best in the city (try a Nutella, vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, fresh banana, and whipped cream combination). Also holding Japanese drinks and ice creams, along with other foods and products, Genki Crepes is the place to go. The only downside is finding parking, but it’s worth it.

The only thing thing that prevents me from giving it all full five stars is the service. But hey, when do you ever get good service at a Korean restaurant. I’m not asking a question. The food is excellent and they’ve got combination dishes in case you can’t decide between their tasty BBQs or bubbling hot tofu soups that are really top notch. If that’s not enough, their open 24 hours a day! It’s busy at all hours so be prepared to wait a bit, but when it comes to Korean tofu soup, there is no place better.

It’s really a shabu shabu place hidden in an American ’50s type of cafe. The choice is simple, all-you-can eat shabu shabu with or without all-you-can drink sake and beer. While not necessarily trendy, the crowd is typically young. Service is adequate but seating space is not. It gets a bit stuffy in their so make sure you can take off some layers. This should definitely be one of your first stops if you want shabu shabu in San Francisco.

The best sushi I’ve had in the Los Angeles area was at California Roll Factory. With plenty of choices to choose from, they are very generous with their proportions and quite easy on their prices. And guess what, they deliver. It’s a bit cramped inside if you’re eating in, but they’re just a phone call away and they’ll bring it right to you. If you want the most sushi and the best quality for the best price, this is the place to go.

Along with the good atmosphere and good pasta, the restaurant’s highlight is the garlic butter bread balls. You’re served endless amounts of them and it becomes up to you and your will power to stop yourself in order to be able to eat your meal. A recommended place for a group of friends out for dinner.

Conveniently located on the 3rd Street Promenade, Yangtze provides good food at reasonable prices. One of the few restaurants that successfully fuse decent Chinese food with decent sushi, it is a good place to eat for small to medium sized parties.

I’ve been their once and it’s really good. The only reason why I’m not giving it a higher rating is because my girlfriend and I had umm, stomach problems after. I’m not sure if it was caused by Roadside BBQ, but hey, I enjoyed the food when I ate it. A list of food you can get your hands on, sauces to choose from, and napkins to make you presentable enough to re-enter the city again.
