PF Chang's for Two
My friend and I dined had a great dining experience at PF Chang’s in Temecula. We got there at 9:30pm on a Thursday. I really like the fact that they close at 11pm, instead of 9 or 10 pm, like most restaurants in Temecula. The atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. Our wait staff was helpful and courteous, and answered any questions we had. I have an intolerance to green onion, and I wanted to get the pork dumplings for our appetizer. The waitress didn’t act “put off” by my asking if it had green onions in it, and she patiently went to ask the kitchen about it. Since it did have it in the filling mixture, we got the Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps. That was our appetizer to share. We ordered the “PF Chang’s for Two”, which comes with choice of two cups of soup, one starter choice (appetizer), two entree choices, and two mini desserts. You get all that for only $39.99, but that does not include tax and tip. I had the hot and sour soup, and my friend had the egg drop soup. For the appetizer we shared the Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps. For the entrees, I had the Cantonese shrimp, and my friend had the orange peel shrimp. For the mini desserts, I chose the chocolate cake, and he chose the lemon. Everything was very tasty, and my favorite entree was the orange peel chicken. The mini desserts were a very nice ending to a fabulous meal. They were just the right amount because anything more would have been too much food. I tasted the lemon mini dessert, which was good, but I preferred the taste of the chocolate mini. Overall, it was a great dining experience! :-)
Dishes I tried:
Hot and Sour Soup
I had the hot and sour soup, which was “OK”, but I thought it was a little too sour and tangy for my taste. My friend had the egg drop soup, and he said that he liked it. I didn’t taste it though. This was part of our four course meal for $39.99.
Chang's chicken lettuce wraps
This was a savory dish. The chicken filling for the lettuce wraps was cooked to perfection, and I could taste the garlic, spices, and marinade. It was on a bed of white, crunchy, rice noodles. When put into the fresh lettuce cups, this dish was a taste fantasy for the mouth.
Cantonese shrimp
I really enjoyed this dish. The shrimp, garlic, and snow peas was a very mild dish, at lease as far as the spice is concerned. The snow peas were fresh and crispy, and the shrimp were seasoned just right with the garlic. It was very tasty, and I recommend it for anyone that can’t handle spicy dishes.
Orange peel chicken
I tried this dish, and even liked it better than the Cantonese shrimp. It is listed on the menu as a spicy dish, but I was able to handle it. I usually like mild spice, and, at PF Chang’s, you can ask them to dial up, or down, the spice. This dish is chicken with orange peel, chili peppers, and spice. The flavors are a combination of the sweet citrus, and the spicy chili. It is really good with the rice, too. The chicken was tender, and very flavorful.
Chocolate and lemon mini desserts
The mini desserts are a culinary, sweet, delight, withan awesome flavor. I didn’t know something so good could come in such a small package. It’s just the right ending to your meal, and, because it’s small, we had room for them. The chocolate mini was rich, smooth, with a dark chocolate taste. The lemon mini tasted like a cross between a lemon meringue pie, and a lemon pudding with graham cracker crumble. Both were great!

Pop Champagne
The food was excellent, and the ambiance elegant, yet comfortable. I was surprised and delighted to find to find real towels in the bathroom, and essential oil hand soap and lotion.
Dishes I tried:
Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise Sauce
I had the Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise Sauce and it was fabulous! It was very savory and rich, but not heavy. I will definitely order this dish again!

Yard House in Temecula
I had an enjoyable dining experience at the Yard House in Temecula. I was there for the late night happy hour that is from 10-12pm Sunday through Wednesday. I attended on a Wednesday with some friends after we had seen a movie. We arrived a little before 10pm, and the waitress asked us if we wanted to wait the 15min until happy hour began. Of course, we did, and we asked for separate checks. They only split checks up to four ways, so, since there was 5 people in our party, two people had to share a check. The atmosphere was nice because we were sitting on the patio, and it was a nice night. They had the fire pits going, which added to the ambiance. As soon as we ordered, the drinks came out fast and so did the food. I ordered a lemon drop martini and the chicken strips. Both were half price because of happy hour. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience.
Dishes I tried:
Chicken strips
The chicken strips were tender white meat chicken in a light and crispy batter. They came with french fries which were crispy and had a great potato taste. The dish came with ranch and honey mustard sauce. I preferred the honey mustard sauce, and I even dipped some of my french fries in it.
Lemon drop martini
This lemon drop martini was excellent! The first one that I was served, was a little too strong for me. I asked the waitress to take it back and make me another one, and that one was perfect. Just the right balance of vodka lemon juice and sugar/triple sec.
