lunch
came here for lunch… The only time they serve Ratatouille, is during lunch…
it’s good, comes with white bread… they also serve Kronenbourg beer. =)
My buddy had the Steak Frites, which is USDA prime top sirloin, fries and Dijon mustard served in baguette.
Look at pictures for reference.

Dishes I tried:
SPICY BARBECUED PRAWNS
Sautéed New Orleans-style.
It was good, the prawns were not too small… the sauce was good.. but i didn’t like it as much as some of the other dishes…

More photos on rolls...
My favorite roll is still the Ichi roll… Apart from the usual orders of seared toro, seared scallop, unagi, my friend and I decided to try the Ginger beef roll out, and to my surprise it’s very tasty.

Dishes I tried:
Lychee martini
A martini with flavour, not like bellevue Joey’s where they used a starfruit as garnish, which I still did not understand how you could use a different fruit as garnish….

yummy korean
Came here for the first time last night… I don’t often explore the restaurants in edmonds/lynwood area… I guess some can say that I’m missing out?
This place is not too hard to find and the food is yummy. I don’t quite remember name of the dishes, but we had a tofu in soup that was mild in spicyness, a seafood pancake that was very hot and very oily at the same time, and lastly we had beef ribs.
See pictures for identifying the dishes…

Not my liking...
It’s very easy to find. It’s right on the corner of 1st & Vine… It’s very dark/dim inside, fits the name black bottle…. It’s also very loud and noisy. The service is quick to ask for what you want to order, but delivery of the dessert/drinks is rather slow…
I ordered a mojito and the chocolate cake w/gelato icecream. The mojito had very strong mint leaves taste, and the chocolate cake was dry and tasteless.
The table was wet and seats are not very comfortable. To make it worst, the washroom is not very clean…
I am very disappointed, reading the reviews I thought it would have been a nice place to go with my friends…. Less I ordered the wrong food?

For serious food eaters. =P
I just recently got back from Hong Kong, and immediately went to this place. I love how friendly the service is and the environment is comfortable. Mainly just want to say I came back for the exclusive omakase and I have photos for it this trip…

Delicious, but slow
This restaurant requires a reservation, and expect to dine here minimum of 2 hours. There are not many place to sit or wait, even the bar area is very limited seating. Our party end up waiting for 25 minutes for our table, due to the wait period, the first round of drinks were on the house.
The food is freshly prepared, hence takes some time… I suggest you look at the menu ahead of time and decide what you want and order it while you wait for your table.
Overall, I think the restaurant is not bad. Pricing is affordable, parking only available on street.
Dishes I tried:
Gratinee des Halles (French onion Soup)
I love this dish, I would come back just for this! You can definitely taste how fresh the onions are!
Confit de Canard
The duck is very small, though nicely prepared was not reallly filling, the asparagus was not really warm.
Chocolate Mousse
Not a big fan of mousse, there was too much creme, the mousse is not really sweet, it’s very smooth and really soft.
Cognac Chocolate
Can definitely taste the cognac in this drink, it’s very small not sharable. It’s not too thick. It’s thin enough to not have to use a spoon.

variety and consistent taste. =D
I have not tried dining here. I only come here for the baked goods (Lai Wan Bao, dan tat, etc.)
Since this is the only bakery in the east side, it’s the only one I go to.. parking lot is big and free too… I think in terms of taste with the ones in china town, it’s about the same…

Unfound chinese food in Bellevue
It looks like no one has tried this restaurant… This restaurant has changed management a few months ago… The outside of this restaurant looks very westernized and not appealing to most chinese. Location is very convenient, it’s just off I-90 and across from the embassy suites…
I remember coming here for quick meal when I stayed at the embassy suites a few years ago before moving here…. I always thought the food was very americanized till recently my family friends have recommended the restaurant after the change in management….
When you dine here the owner is very friendly and tries to get to know her customers, which makes it somewhat home like feeling…
My recommendation is to ask for the Chinese menu if you want the good stuff!
They are constantly updating the menu, it’s written in both english and chinese… However if you don’t ask for the right menu, you won’t get the right satisfying experience….

Amazing time and will be returning !!
I went to the purple cafe in seattle, which on their website shows that it’s the third branch that opend….
I really loved the high cieling and ambience of the restaurant! Very nice wine rack and very very attentive server!! Right after we were seated, our server came by to offer some water and bread!
The server was very attentive as to when our glasses were going low on the wine or water. The server also gave great recommendations on desserts.
I ordered the duck for my entree. It was extremely tender.
As for the desserts. It’s very tiny, bite size (which is nice, so you can order multiple dishes to try)
Which I ordered the vanilla bean crème brulee and the molasses stout cake, candied ginger and butterscotch sauce.
Both very tasty and yummy!!
I would like to post some photos of my time at this restaurant, however I am having technicall problems where the site will not allow me to post jpeg files.
