Disappointing

This restaurant was mentioned to us by several people after we arrived in Waikiki. So I was really disappointed when the service was horrible. Our waitress continually disappeared. We had a long wait to order, then after we ordered the food took a long time to arrive. And the restaurant had customers but wasn’t exceptionally busy.

All dinners came with a salad bar, whether you wanted it or not. The salad bar was small, but with fruits and the basics. The ingredients appeared fresh. Truly this turned out to be the best part of our meal.

Once it arrived, the food was not very good. I had the short ribs that were tough and poorly seasoned. The green beans (that were on all plates but not mentioned on the menu) were mushy and tasteless. My daughter ordered one of their specials, a Hibachi Trio. The shrimp was so overcooked it was inedible, the chicken was just fair and what they called mahi-mahi was questionable. Also inedible.

Given that this is a 24-hour ‘diner’ maybe I should’ve stuck with ordering breakfast food for dinner. But on a Friday night I just wasn’t in the mood for that.

A sad introduction to Waikiki. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Dishes I tried:

Short Ribs

The ribs were tough, and had no seasoning at all. The green beans served on the plate were mushy and tasteless. Like frozen green beans soaked in hot water all day with no salt or pepper. The fried rice was fair, but dry.
