This is one of the last original restaurants here in rolling meadows, and as I see it still one of the greats! I just started going again, and was shocked to see how high the prices have gone, but I think that’s the way the entire economy is right now. I got the gyros plate, and on another trip the dog and fries, both were excellent! I also got decent sized portions, which I felt justified the higher price. it still has the 50’s nostalgia feel to the restaurant, and both times I got extremely friendly service! It’s hard nowadays to find one of these gems, as most of the small and independent have unfortunately shuttered their doors along time ago, or have gone too commercial and don’t keep that corner hot dog stand feel anymore. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a “blast from the past” and good food with a freindly, old time atmosphere!
