And I thought Neapolitan was just for ice cream.

The atmosphere at 2 Amys is charming, yes, but the food is even better. I have never had a pizza here I did not like. The neapolitan pizza is an artform here, but don’t miss out on their specials – their appetizers and custom sorbets are to die for.

The wait staff is gregarious and knowledgeable – they certainly knew what foods would complement each other. If the only pizza I could eat for the rest of my life came from 2 Amys, I wouldn’t mind eating just pizza for the rest of my time on God’s green earth.

Dishes I tried:

Calabrese Pizze

I didn’t know what to expect from the anchovies, but I’m sorry I ever doubted. For the non-believers: you’ll be pleasantly surprised, I promise.

Diner Food Done Better

Luna Grill & Diner is great if you have time to spare and you’re not in a rush. The food isn’t excellent – but it is better than just good. Though there’s only so much you can do with the average diner fare to set it apart from the chains.

This Luna Grill (I have not been to the Arlington location) has a decidedly Bohemian feel to it; it manages to draw in a clientele as diverse as the neighborhood that surrounds it. The service is pretty slow, but the food tastes like home.

Weekend brunch is probably the most worthwhile as well as the busiest time to come to Luna. The meal may end up a little overpriced for those on a budget, but the quality is about as good as you’ll get at that price.

Dishes I tried:

Two poached eggs and smoked salmon served on top of an english muffin with hollandaise sauce and a side of home fries – it’s filling and absolutely delicious. Only at weekend brunch, though!
