Steel Pig Barbeque

So so bbq
This was one of the first bbq joints I tried when I came to Seattle, and it’s ok. Probably more suited for taking out than dining in, as the interior is very empty and not all that comfortable.
The food was nothing very memorable, but it wasn’t terrible either. Their bbq wings defenately came in a huge serving, but the sauce is an odd semi-transparent sweeter bbq sauce that just didn’t leave me overly excited.

Beth's Cafe

One of my favorite greasy spoons
Beth’s can be hard to get in to if you wake up too late on the weekends, but if you want something huge and gutbusting, this is the place to get it.
Everything on their menu is good (not extraordinary, but good), and the price is great. I always get more food than I can eat and never feel like I spent a fortune on it.
This may not be the place to take mom and dad on a visit to the city, but the colorful crowd makes it a nice and relaxing place to fight your hangover.

Southsider
This stack of food is fantastic. Hashbrowns with optional eggs, then chili smothered over the top, it couldn’t get much better.

Rhodie's BBQ
Apr 18, 2007
Best BBQ I've had in Seattle
I admit I haven’t tried everything in Seattle, but compared to Longhorn and Steel Pig, this is the best BBQ I’ve had. The sauce is “perfectly spiced” and comes in the more vinegary variety (which I tend to love). The menu seems to be your standard fare of BBQ, although the biscuits I haven’t seen elsewhere.
The baked beans at Rhodies are also wonderful. The only downside of the place that I can say is there’s no dining in, it’s take out only.

Half order of Ribs
Perfectly cooked, had a slight tint of smoke flavor, and the spicy sauce wasn’t really incredibly spicy but had a nice kick.

- between $10 and $25
- I tipped
