OK folks, if you don’t already know, I’m here to tell you. In the ocean of mediocre red sauce that is North Beach, there is one and only one shining star for pizza. That star is Cinecitta.

Cinecitta is the brainchild of Romina Tiberia, a native Roman who has been in the states for over a decade now. She makes an authentic Roman pizza, square and thin with only the best toppings. Try the margherita to get the general idea of the quality of the pie, but you’ll find that they are all wonderful.

Rounding out the menu are great salads and appetizers, sandwiches, dynamite suppli, and the most sinful panzarotti (that’s fried ravioli, in case you were picturing a panettone). EVERYTHING is good here, even the dessert, so head over and get the real thing for a change. You’ll see what I mean!
