Amazing soups. Twelve HUGE cauldrons filled with some of the best soup you’ll ever have. You can also order in a bread bowl. Make sure to have some dollar dollar bills on you, as they only take cash.

Best Wrigleyville drunk food. The slices here are honestly the size of a small donkey. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten it sober, so I’m not sure if my rating should count.

As someone who has yet to pay over $20 on sushi, I like this place a lot. The quality is great, the presentation is good, and the restaurant is nice and relaxing. I hope it gets more business as it always seems like a ghost town when I’m there.

Best, and possilby only, bagel place in Chicago. The menu is HUGE and every sandwich has crazy names from The Donkey Punch to Slick Willy. The wait can be crazy and there’s hardly ever room to actually eat there. Also, it’s an Ohio State hub, but we won’t hold that against them.

Some of the best Thai food in Chicago. The restaurant is quaint and has outdoor seating in the summer. The chicken on the green is my fave dish.

If you haven’t been to one of these yet, go now. It kicks Subway’s, Jimmy John’s, and any other sandwich place’s ass. Toasted and quick this place is always great for lunch. Most are VERY packed so be prepared to wait. Also, try the fat-free yogurt shakes sometime.

A Chicago staple. The walls are covered in photos of all the waitresses that have ever worked there. Music from the 70s plays. The menu is sandwiches and burgers with great shakes. The cookie desserts are also to die for.

In the winter make sure to get some temperature soup. The charge a penny a degree for a cup, so you might get a 10 cent soup. Also, the mystery beer is always fun: $3 beer that they randomly bring you, different each time.

One of the better breakfast places in the city. Known for their killer cinammon rolls, this place is great. The hash browns are more a cup of cubed potatoes, the omeletes are hearty, and the pancakes are huge. Come hungry. I also like that each item it placed on its own plate, I don’t like my breakfast food touching.

Best Chicago-style pizza in the city. You can order any flavored deep-dish by the slice, and believe me you’ll want to as these things are filling. The staff is great and always friendly. The place is quite small so delivery/carry out is the best route.

Best tapas place in the city. The restaurant has three floors so there’s plenty of seating. The menu is quite large and the prices are very reasonable. Sangria is a must-have and comes in multiple flavors. Make sure to try the bacon wrapped dates and save room for the flan.
