Orgasm in all-you-can-eat steak form. Totally worth the $25 for lunch or $50 for dinner if you do the anorexic thing for a day or two before venturing to the Fogo. Definitely the best of any of the Argentinian/Brazilian steak buffets around… Sal et Carvao and Texas & Brazil do not even compare. Excellent cheesy bread and fried bananas, and a buffet with maybe every kind of cheese and artichoke and antipasta ever invented. There are really friendly waiters dressed in goofy gaucho pants catering to your every beefy desire. And chicken and bacon and pork too. They carry open-pit roasted COWS on swords, it’s pretty much a merry-go-round of steak. Excellence.

We had fried tenderized American alligator (tastes like chicken), seared scallops & yellowfin tuna, something portofino, raw oysters & clams of course, grilled grouper… One of the better seafood places in the area & reasonably priced (similar to Red Lobster with better food and bigger portions). I would bring a date there; I like the creepy blue glow dancing on people’s foreheads from reflections of the 13000 gallon salt water aquarium and the tropical fish do some funny things so you can always have something to talk about. After dinner you can take a romantic stroll through the adjacent Bass Pro Shops and walk off the food coma while admiring the prolific taxidermy. Yummy…

Not so secret anymore! Hidden behind curtains at Le Parker Meridien. Better than In ’n Out, maybe. Curt staff and interesting patrons (lots of celebs judging from the scribbles on the wall) and sensationally greasy food. The menu has like… 3 items. Prices are very reasonable for good NY food, but overpriced for a burger.

So yums! Thanks Phil… :) Really chilly and lofty high ceilings. The wait staff seemed really confused.

Small, simple, family-owned, family dining. Very reasonable prices (probably the best for the portions in the west suburbs? This is the only place to eat deep fried tofu.

I think this restaurant is for old steak-eating people. Highly recommended for Iris. The spinning salad is mind-blowing. Not the salad itself, just how it spins on the table. If you ever go, be sure to order the Chocolate Bag. It’s a secret or something, and one of the most expensive desserts you’ll ever order around here… But it’s tastebud-blowing. Yummy mashed potatoes. Rosemary or dill weed seasoned, I think. The servers are dressed in funny 50’s or Victorian costume suit things, but very professional. The food is good but not excellent especially for the price… BUT I can’t live without Lawry’s Seasoned Salt. For serious.

Sweet ambience and fancy bar. Everything is blue (like jazz). Desserts like the creme brulee, molten chocolate cake, wild blueberry and violet ice cream, pear sorbet, compotes, peanut ice cream, strawberry meringue and too many others (yes I tried all of these) to name are completely worth the calories. And the seafood… Oh the seafood deserves its own review which I shouldn’t do right now because I get crazy after 2am and it is right now 2:10am. They have seven varieties of clams and oysters and the fish is just to kill for. Which works out because it is also to die for.

$7 lunch special is :D Nice ambience, pretty laid back, mod furniture and lightning, good amount of good food. Probably not very authentically Thai or any other Asian though. I had some kind of chicken rice soup deal that reminded me of home and a $6 salmon and avocado roll thing that was yummy.

The building itself was nice and cute with bright lighting unlike anything in Greenwich. The dollar chicken special (thanks to Grace, I don’t know what it was actually called) was mexcellent, and so was the dish I ordered (Shrimp & Avocado something or other). It tasted like sushi. A lot of the dishes look really whitewashed though. The mint creme drink that I ordered was a bit goofy… But I give the restaurant 4 stars because it’s snazzy food for the price, at least compared to the Joy Yee’s in Naperville.
