Great Ideas - Poor follow through
This menu was very interesting, great ideas for appetizers as well as entrees. My husband had a chicken wonton in a smokey tomato broth, absolutely excellent. Then the organic duck – not so great.
I had waldorf salad – half portion very nice but the taste was very bland, then Lobster on a shewer with brushetta, nice idea BUT the brushetta had green and kalmata olives it in and it totally was TOO strong for the dish.
Great ideas but the dishes need a little help to make the ideas match the taste.

08/27/2008I totally agree with you in that olives sometimes can have really strong flavor and to put with lobster which has a more sweet taste to it doesn’t seem like a good pairing.
The chicken wonton in that smoky tomato broth; however, sounds fabulous.
