Apparently not their type...
Somehow I think Olio is stacking the deck here. Could it be that they are adding their own reviews? Or having others do it for them?
My husband and I stopped into Olio last night. No, we did not have a reservation but it was later in the evening (9:00PM) and the place was relatively empty.
After checking us out (looking at us up and down), the hostess sat us. After quite some time, a fellow came by with water. No server yet.
We waited and waited, not one server came by.
We live in downtown Delray and can not believe the poor service of this restaurant. We could not even catch the eye of any person passing by to take our wine order. Finally we flagged down the fellow that gave us water to have a server come to our table.
After another 5 minutes, a server did arrive but acted like he was doing us a big favor. We got a really bad vibe and decided to ditch the place before things really got worse.
The food and wine are far too expensive at Olio to be treated like a second class citizen. We have eaten at Olio years ago. The food was okay but no great.
Now you can’t even get past the bad service to get to the wine and food. With the costs now a days, who needs it? We sure didn’t!
Read reviews at www.tripadvisor.com. I guess we weren’t the only people that had a bad experience.
