I’m sorry that Anonymous was not more pleased. I have dined at many authentic Chinese and dim sum restaurants around the country, including Chinatown, and my family unequivocally ranks AmerAsia as one of the best. It is one of our favorite restaurants in ABQ, and we’ve gone there religiously for about 7 years. Sure, there’s an occasional off day when something in particular might not be at its best, but overall the food is excellent. Han doesn’t necessarily fill the cart, probably because she never knows how much business there will be and more frequent trips around the floor with freshly made food is certainly preferred to food that’s luke warm and has been sitting for awhile. Ask her and she rattle off all of the offerings and bring anything you want piping hot and fresh. And, as for the sushi, it also is wonderful. The traditional sushi is terrific, but there are also numerous incredible baked dishes. If you go and have both the sushi and dim sum, I recommend sort of dividing your dining into two halves as the two food types are totally different. Usually we start with the dim sum and then have the sushi at the end, but you could easily do it the other way around.
