Pineapple buns are good here

On mornings of starvation, I’d walk by this place and I’d search through my pockets for 45 cents. If I find the change, then I’d quickly walk in there and demand a fresh pineapple bun. The women would quickly pack a fresh from the oven pineapple bun. I never eat there. Every morning it’s packed with older gentlemen sitting in most of the seats. If it’s a high lottery jackpot day, then there’d be more men getting lotto tickets from that place. I never tried anything else except for pineapple buns.

Fresh sashimi!!!

I can’t believe this place hasn’t been reviewed yet. Every friday night, I’d drive by the place and it’ll be packed. I love the Chef’s specials and the daily specials. When it’s mango season, they have the mango sushi. I usually like sitting in the main floor because it’s decorated a little nicer. They have an upper level for larger groups, which is good, but usually it’s harder to flag down the servers on a busy friday night. Sushi is great. Sashimi is fresh. Service is wonderful. I trust the chefs here so I don’t mind forking out an extra buck for safe sushi grade fish.

Great Simple Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup

I go here on days when I’m broke. I only order the Chicken Noodle Soup here. Nothing else. It’s simply chicken over vietnamese style soup with thick rice noodles. Since San Francisco is so cold normally, it’s a great place for a warm meal. I don’t like the neighborhood though. I usually prefer the Geary location. If you like eating chicken organs, then it’ll cost about $1 more, but I’ve never been fans of intestines and that interior stuff. They aren’t like the typical Pho places, this place does not give you bean sprouts and basil.

It's so delicious

I had the sampler so I got to try everything. It was good. I was licking my finger out on my way out. It’s much quieter during the night.

good chinese food for a good price

i usually get my chicken dry noodle. i think that’s what it’s called. it’s a very simple dish – noodles with chicken in oyster sauce for only $3.75

it’s ugly and looks dirty. the waitress is nice, but it’s hard getting her attention. she’s the bus boy, waitress, etc. they still use a trolly to get freshly made food from the kitchen (downstairs) to the customers (upstairs). it’s pretty cool. just don’t expect a wonderful decor. everyone sits in wooden stools. but a lot of tourist goes here.

Best pulled pork sandwich

I love bbq food. We always went past this place after work and it was always busy. You can’t go wrong with the bbq ribs. The wood smoked bbq baby back ribs are wonderful. It’s so tender and juicy. They have a couple sizes for your hunger level. It comes with two sides and a corn muffin.

I love the fresh bread and the delicious pork. The cole slaw makes it crunchy but not overwhelming. I usually order garlic fries, sweet potatoe fries or roasted corn as my side.

Mochi!

They make fresh mochi! I love the pale mochi with the red dot in the center. I forgot what it was called. Their strawberry is unique. Their red bean filling is delicious. I’m not a big fan of peanut butter, so their peanut butter filled mochi wasn’t to my taste. They have a mochi fried like a donut. Excellent mochi!

I love their cake!

My boyfriend loves their tiramisu cake. I love their mango mousse cake. My friend loves their strawberry shortcake. Their muffins are very good too. We had a strawberry muffin and a blueberry muffin. The strawberry muffin was pretty good. I haven’t had a chance to try the other baked goods.

Won Ton is cheap!

It’s a really small store and you can easily miss it. The won ton is really cheap. It’s pretty good for a quick meal during lunch. I like it there. Plently of soup. It’s really good for the price!

Extremely cheap dim sum

I usually order the stuff inside the steamer. Their shrimp dumplings are fresh. Pork dumplings are meaty. Baked pork buns are really delicious. Do not order their watered down coffee. It’s cheap, but it’s been sitting there for a while.
