i didn’t even know about this chatterbox thing on menuism… despite what google image search shows, “alligator cake” does not look like an alligator :) it’s a flat cake with lots of pecans that looks like alligator skin. there’s a picture of it at http://www.viktorbenesonline.com/. i grew up with the stuff but surprisingly the only online mention of it is to that socal bakery.
