I had both the Eggnog and cheesecake flavors. Not only were both absolutely delicious, it was served in the coolest container. I am definitely glad it not too close or I would most surely eat it way too often! Anyone who says it isn’t good is definitely low on my list of people that I’d like to dine with. :-)

I’ve had a half dozen or so of their Roti Rolls and always found them enjoyable. They are a bit small for a meal, but for a quick snack or a late night grab they are good. I’d recommend giving one a try as long as you don’t expect anything too fancy. But they are cheap, quick and tasty.

This was a disappoint to be sure. The prices...
This was a disappoint to be sure. The prices were higher than I’ve ever paid for Mexican food in my life. You’d expect something special for that price, but the only thing I got was a very noisy environment complete with loud music and table-side serenades. The food was ok, but not at all good enough for the price.
A funny side note was that while there a male friend of mine went to use the restroom only to find a line of women waiting for the men’s room! He was told by one of the women in line to get behind her. Imagine that—being told to get in line behind a woman for the MEN’S room?! Perhaps they should expand their bathrooms…

After wandering through Hell’s Kitchen seeing one restaurant after another, we finally decided to give this one a go. We were attracted by the reasonable prices and nice selection of italian dishes. The thing we didn’t realize is that every day’s a party at Mangia e Bevi. I’ve never had so much fun eating tasty, quickly served italian dishes before. From tambourines to watching the waiters do body shots with some members of a bridal party, every minute was a delight! Perhaps you don’t want to have such a good time while eating, but I have never regretted it. Maybe it helped that we drank lots of their absolutely amazing white sangria while there! I will definitely be back many more times!

This is a place I just wandered into expecting mediocre mexican fare that would tide me over until I found some more satisfying options. Boy was I surprised! Every last detail of the meal was fantastic. The service, the food and the price were all tops! I’ve been back multiple times, and I’m sure it won’t be my last visit.

I could have sworn I was back in my grandma’s kitchen when the food came out. It’s true. I’m a southerner through and through. The fried chicken here definitely rivaled my grandma’s and the ribs were tasty and finger licking good. I enjoyed the sweet biscuits, too. One word of advice: don’t forget the hot sauce with your collard greens. Collards just aren’t worth eating without it. I do think it’s a bit pricey for soul food, but since it’s damn good and in Manhattan, I think it’s well worth it!

Wow—a choice of falafel flavors! That is something which doesn’t come with any run of the mill falafel joint. I had a roasted red pepper flavored falafel on their white pita bread. It was some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. It was fresh and perfectly sized for a lunch or snack. I’ll definitely be going back to try out more of their offerings.

Oh this is indulgence at its worst! If you can decide on just 1 dessert right away, then I applaud your decisiveness. I wanted everything—and I’ve gone back multiple times in order to have it too! I’ve made their Frrrozen Hot Chocolate at home on multiple occasions (both with and without peanut butter) and have found the mixes to be a nice substitute for the trek across town, followed by a wait in line.
They were closed down for a short time recently due to some health violations, but it matters to me not. If it was cockroach droppings which made their offerings so delectable, then I say bring it on!

Cookies are my biggest weakness when it comes to sweets. The cookies at Levain do not disappoint. They are huge and can definitely be consumed in multiple eatings—if you have enough self control that is. This is a must try for anyone who has a hankering for cookies like I do.
