My salmon rolls were as good as any and I liked that my friend’s California rolls were made with real crab. The best part of our meal was the peanut butter and chocolate desert. The decor was a little over the top and the server ignored us for most of the night. I don’t think I’d come back.

The presentation of the food was as exquisite as its surroundings. The duck prosciutto was gamey, but not unpleasantly so; however, the duck wonton was stuffed with a goat cheese that overpowered the other components of the dish. The Australian barramundi was well-cooked but the puree it was placed on top of felt like an afterthought. My bombe Alaska provided a fun show, but the rum did not completely burn off and left an unpleasant flavor. The service was amazing, the waiters were attentive and helpful, and the pianist contributed to the beautiful atmosphere.

Their jumbo shrimp cocktail and clam chowder were as good as any, but their tilapia ceviche was disappointing, as it lacked acid and seasoning.

Interesting address: 666 Universal. The food was unremarkable. Their potato skins would be tastier without the black beans. 3 stars for the food, 4 stars for the guitar players, and 5 stars for the mechanical bull!

My raw oyster combination platter was delicious and tasted of the ocean. Also, the restaurant’s location is awesome. It’s wedged between the USS Midway and Seaport Village.

I love that you could see Point Loma from the dining room. The seafood salad sandwich was delicious, fresh, and made of real fish! My friend’s krab sandwich (crab with a “K”!) was not as impressive. The cheese they mixed with the fake crab was flavorless and the amount was excessive.

My yogurt was delicious (their blackberries were the best I’ve had), but it was pricey for fro-yo.

I enjoyed their mixed fruit cake with the whipped cream frosting.
