cakes, breads, and pastries galore!

There’s only two bakeries I go to in the states because I get spoiled by them in Taiwan (and am therefore picky); L’Artisan French Bakery is one of them. The shop is clean and bright and the presentation of the cakes, pastries, and breads makes you want to try them all! I have tried most cakes and a lot of pastries and everything really is great. I also like to go for lunch sometimes because they serve sandwiches and quiche; add a drink and dessert and you have one fulfilling meal for less than $10!

The owners and servers are always friendly.

On the warmer days you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze and surrounding greenery.

If you’re ever in the area go try a cake or pastry! I bet it’ll be good. The Everett Costco is also nearby for your shopping pleasure.

Dishes I tried:

Mixed Fruit Tart

This used to be my favorite dessert because you get the crust on the bottom, custardy middle, and loads of fruit on top. It’s gotten really sweet for me so 4-stars until they realize it’s too sweet. Pair it with tea if you’re sensitive like me.

Ganache

MMmmm chocolate. Chocolate cake layered with chocolate and coated with chocolate ganache. It’s rich so share with a friend, or with tea or milk to balance it out. Soo good.

Chicken Breast Avocado Sandwich

I love this sandwich. They make all sandwiches to order so it’s always fresh. You can choose between sandwich roll (hard, like a mini french bread) or croissant. This one in particular has chicken breast, avocado, tomato, and ranch. It’s a little bland if you don’t salt and pepper but I guess it’s a good thing they leave the salt and pepper to the customers’ desire.

Almond Croissant

My mom and brother LOVE this croissant; they would give 5 stars. They also like nuts more than I do, hence why I give it 4 stars. It’s really good: flaky, chewey, fragrant, sweet but not TOO sweet. Almond slices outside, almond paste inside, powder sugar on top. Great with coffee or tea.
