IHOP

IHOP
This is a convenient location. A typical IHOP, I don’t go there for the ambiance or decor, I go there to have breakfast. On a low cholesterol and sugarfree diet, there are still reasonable choices if one has the will power.

Omelette
I requested that their spinach, mushroom, and onion omelette be made with egg whites and the hollandaise sauce be served on the side. The portion was enough for one adult and two children. I had this served with wheat toast and coffee. My bill with a more than 20% tip came to 13.00…One could easily make two meals out of this. The servers were very courteous and accomodating, and I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. I wouldn’t have dinner here, but they have an excellent breakfast menu.
Grand Lux Cafe

Grand Lux Cafe
Stopped here today for brunch. I highly recommend the protein breakfast: egg white omelet, asparagus, tomato slices, grilled chicket breast with mushrooms. They serve it with a basket of bread both whole wheat and white and butter…real butter…For me the ambiance is similar to cheesecake factory and usually just a bit too animated (noisy), but the food in general is adequate and the variety satisfies even the pickiest eater.

T.G.I. Friday's

T G I Friday's
I try not to sit indoors, but at the outdoor seating area. I like to be as far away from the bar, and beer drinkers as possible. The ambiance is playful and one cannot mistake this for something that it is not. I would never choose this as a place for dinner but rather for casual lunch or burger dining.

parmesan crusted chicken
I have ordered the parmesan crusted chicken several times and find it to be an adequate and satisfying lunch choice. I usually request that they skip the crusted parmesan or put the topping on the side for dietary reasons. It comes with tomato, onion, and fresh mozarella salad, 5 gnocci stuffed with cheese, spinach and a slab of grilled chicken. The chicken without the crust is just grilled chicken, but it generally is less overcooked without the parmesan. With a beverage and a tip the total is about 13 or 14 dollars. I find it a little better than one’s average lunch plate hence i gave it a 4 star rather than a three. Remember this is not a fancy restaurant but a casual dining place.
