Always on the look-out for good “breakfast” spots to take my breakfast aficionados to, we took a closer look at this bakery and found they do a really great full-service sit-down breakfast rotation.

The Daily Bread Bakery and Cafe serves hearty traditional breakfasts; egg-dishes and omelets that are jam packed with lovely ingredients as well as benedicts, pancakes, omelets, egg-dishes oat-meal and, of course, freshly-baked breads alongside juices, coffee and cinnamon rolls.

A non-egg-eating breakfaster, I focus on a breakfast joint’s potatoes and bread-quality to see the relative greatness of their meals and here the restaurant excelled. Delicious, perfectly seasoned home-potatoes and warm, crusty breads came alongside eggs (or in my case, bagel with cream cheese, capers and tomatoes) and little touches abound, like a little fruit-garnish of oranges and strawberries and homemade (by the owner) apricot and local peach preserves.

Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere, warm and friendly and sunny.
