This is our favorite breakfast spot in Boston – but, it helps to be a short distance away and able to easily check the line status before committing to eat there on a given Sunday. Free mugs of hot coffee any time. Tightly packed in tables, quick service, and a constnt buzz. The specials are the only way to go — seasonal fruit pancakes, and the ‘Bene’ (eggs benedict) are our favorites!

We just got take-out from Blue Ribbon for the presidential primary debates with some friends. My husband is from the south and knows good BBQ. It was GREAT – BEST in Boston that we have had. The greens were awesome, the meat was all very moist, and the sauces were really tasty. I really enjoyed their pickle salad as well. We would definitely return!

I thought brunch here was OKAY. I had the stuffed french toast, which was good – but I have had better at other nearby restaurants. My husband had an omelet, which was more like a fritatta, and not as filling as he’d liked. The ambiance was good – not very crowded on a Sunday, and intimate.

Another mediocre restaurant in Brookline as far as I am concerned. The bar scene is good, but the wait for a table and sheer number of people on weekends turns us away repeatedly. The food is overpriced and the portions are very small. I have never been impressed with a dinner ordered here.

This is a tiny, basement bar with a large after-work crowd near Park St. The rasberry-infused vodka martini was awesome! Bar food was good but not great – and was hard to eat with no tables. The hostess seemed to be on another planet, too – while the bartender was enthusiastic and great.

Busy artsy/theater scene in the basement of the Boston Arts Center — equipped with a stage for live performances including jazz bands. Great menu. The cheese fondue was amazing, as well as the vege lasagna. Can’t wait to go back and try the fancy grilled cheese sandwiches!
