Best bread ever.

Excellent vegan food. I loved the pancakes, the dumplings, and basically pretty much every dish I sampled from there. The food is pretty affordable and the atmosphere relaxing. The dining experience is accompanied by music that’s just “pure moods” enough to be soothing without being irritating (I suspect it aids digestion somehow). Do call ahead and make sure they’re actually open before you try to go, though!

Mm, good idea, let’s pay a lot for melted cheese! How they were able to successfully market 70’s kitsch as “fancy eatin’”, I’ll never know.

Great restaurant in the basement of the Unity Temple on the Plaza. Organic food, with mostly vegetarian / vegan options; the vegan "meat"loaf is quite delicious as I recall (and also massive).

The food is decent, good place to go for BBQ…that said, sometimes the quality is inconsistent and the meat can be dry.

The daily specials, however, are pretty awesome – you can’t beat $1 pints of everything on tap, including Free State. Also, you can feed a family of four with one turkey leg.

The food here used to be better, or maybe my standards have changed…at any rate the service is beyond awful. I went there last week with my friends and actually had a waitress scowl at us as she handed us the check. Go to the Hookah House instead, they have hummus, hookah and coffee which is really all you need!
