Good food, different atmosphere!

I was recently introduced to the Brotherhood and was impressed with the two different atmospheres that are upstairs and downstairs, as well as the food.

Downstairs is more like a bar — it is darker and has a bit more character to it. Upstairs is more kid friendly (and therefore louder) and there isn’t as much personality to it.

Dishes I tried:

cheeseburger & fries

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries — in large part because I was told that was the thing to do. And it was! Delicious burger. It was more rare than the medium rare that I requested (just FYI!) but really delicious. The fries were also great – homemade. Yum!

Excellent chicken and sides!

There are lots of different options for chicken lovers – whether you like light or dark meat! But if you dont like chicken – this is definitely not for you. It’s a really nice roasted chicken – perfectly cooked. And there are a bunch of different side to choose from, so all will be happy!

Dishes I tried:

half chicken with 3 sides

two of us shared the half chicken with 3 sides… we had the pasta broccoli salad, the mashed potatoes and gravy, and the rice with veggies. the chicken was perfectly cooked – delicious! the sides were a good match – not too much, but very tasty.

Thai Hooters? Or just good food?

This place was described to me as a Thai Hooters – in the sense that the atmosphere was slightly… toward “that” type of crowd. Regardless of their target, the food was awesome and it was perfect for a group to share different things. Tons of food for each dish!

Dishes I tried:

Red Noodles (Pad See Ew)

The Red Noodles were good – a good mix of chicken, broccoli, and sauce. Very tasty!

This was an appetizer that our table of 4 shared. It was really tasty and the perfect beginning to the meal.

Good Place to Hang out!

I dont think I have ever eaten anything here, but I have had coffee and hot chocolate and tea. It’s a nice place to go to hang out and chat. There’s no one hovering to make sure you’re eating and it’s just a nice, chill atmosphere.

Great Italian, Cute Place!

Rocco’s is a very cute restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. It’s a family owned place and you can tell – though it’s pretty big!

great foods - many to try!

This place is upscale – white table cloths, that is. The food is excellent and the service was wonderful. They have a lot of different types of foods to try. The building is old too – the history shows and it’s a beautiful building.

Dishes I tried:

Seared Chicken over Tri-Colored Cheese Tortellini

The chicken was coated in panko and very tasty. The tortellini was in a cream sauce that was a littttttle much, but it was quite good! LOTS of food. Plus it comes with a salad!

Hummus appetizer

The hummus wasn’t regular hummus – it was blended with red peppers or something. (it’s described accurately on their menu) Very good! Served with lots of pita bread and a few cucumbers.

Nice Coffee Shop

I like coming here to sit with friends, to study, and to have coffee. It’s a little like highway robbery with the cost, but it’s nice because there are lots of magazines and news sources around that liven up the place. The people are nice and there’s internet if you need it.

Typical NYC Diner with more of a Tourist crowd

Been here a few times when my family is staying at the New Yorker hotel which is connected to the Tick Tock diner. It’s a typical diner – decent food, impatient service. Location is convenient to Penn Station…

PIZZA!

Always a line outside for the thin crust, NY pizza. VERY good for a sit down place (not so much for a slice on the go!)
