ordered 6 tapas, 2 were not available, the 4 that came were just not worth the visit. waitress was polite but VERY cold. interior is fine, other than this, do not go for FOOD or service. we always love tapas, were impressed by the spanish restaurants in Boston, London, Rochester, Montreal, etc. This is the first time very disappointed.

The food presentation & taste is so plain, i had higher expectation because Pare seems to promote itself in a high image, plus the price is not low. tried the entree cioppino (california style seaweed stew) and strip steak 8oz, and dessert crepes suzette, fish in the stew not fresh, and it’s too spicy – i bet there’s a lot MSG in it because after the meal I felt so thirsty and had to drink soooo much water.

This is for the Schoen Place location. The receptionist was like who was owed a million dollars, no greeting or good attitude. The table was unstable -after moving it around it was still the same- so we need to switch, waited for 15 minutes the waitress finally showed up, we told her we would like to switch, she had showed us some unwillingness, led us to a table without view while the other round table along the side of the porch is available. We told her we prefer the round table. She pulled a long face, said it is only for party over three, right at that moment there were the other two round tables sitting only 2 persons!! We asked her name, told her we had been here regularly, never been treated this way. She said “now you have your experience!” Called back for the manager the next morning, was told he won’t be in till afternoon. Called several times in the evening, they would not even let the manager talk to us, first said he is not available, then said he is “probably not in”, etc. Good luck if you want to visit this place!!!
