good wine, good fod, bad service hi prices
listed as fine dining and Italian the dish served most seems to be attitude. very large wine list . nice decor . food portions are small as in this is a place for a supermodel to eat. service is cold bordering on rude . and the price is way off the charts we had four people and spent well over $800 this is not to say that this is a limit i have had some high priced meals in my life that were worth every penny . not so hear the food is good the pastas are ok and just ok for the price I wont go back as to the wine list WOW but Morie’s offers a good list and that i can take home and so does Bev mo . yes it is about a special experence when you fine dining this one left us feeling less than special.

just ok
looking for a place to eat ? well this is one . that is as much as i can say for it the food is ok nothing amazeing or special the bar menue is fun in that every drink has a cutsie name the decore is corprate modern. this could be any chain burger place it is near an entry to the mall so it has that going for it . the food the much promoted wiskie river bbq chisken sandwich is a bit sweet and has a nice tang to it but is no
beter than what you might get at carls jr. I cant praise or fult the service which was again made it to the level of ok no complaints but dont expect much . dont ask what is in any of those novilty drinks as the server will go ask the bar tender and may be gone for some time .

put this on you're must do list
OK if the line out the door and the yearly award as the readers choice for pies was not inpressive . The food is
home made soups and salads one of the best split pea soups i think i ever had with home made crutons and bits of ham .
A Cobb sandwich that is moist and filling.
pies and cakes so good you will wonder just what you ever liked about other pie shops. Breckfast is first rate get the orange roles if you can . melt in you’re mouth soooo goood .
the chese pocket french toast o-my god…
The pot pies and I can go on.
as to the place it is spotless and if you ask how about the kitchen you will walk right thru it on the way to the back dinning room . Nothing to hide and a lot to see. service is prompt and friendly I would give it six stars.

memory lane +
I grew up in Southern Ca. so I know and miss Bob’s . for a long time only 6 remained . So i was thrilled when I lerned that a defunct coco’s was to reopen as a Bob’s big boy. Well my joy has been deminished a bit . I cant falt the big boy combo. it stilll has the taste i loved growing up the blue chese dressing is still as chunky and good the rellish on the burger is as sweet as ever and even the frys are good. sooo what is not to like ? Well cleanlieness comes to minde It was not a good inpression this trip the carbet needed to be cleaned the table i was seated at was some what sticky and the menu was greasy and had spilled food stuck to it (yuk) . My coffee cup had a strange film in it that was not scrubbed out past the the half cup mark giving the coffee a bad taste. All in all the isues were fixed but it did make me wonder.

classic sea food
one of the beter seafood places in long beach at one time the best . this is the birthplace of the kings chain . that said when the corprate office moved it slipped a bit . when the cat is away…
the king crab lounge is fun and loud the food is fresh good selection of sea food . nice patio the dining room is showing it’s age and the removal of the tabel cloths has not helped.
