A GREAT French restaurant with very reasonable prices; I ate at the one in Washington, DC, but there are two in NYC as well. (www.leshalles.net). The French dip steak sandwich and frites were amazing, and they have a great dessert menu. The crepes suzette were very impressive, they flambed them for you tableside. I would definitely go back.

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to— the food was very flavorful without being salty or overpowering. The decor is elegant, and the bread is very good. It’s on the pricey side, but worth the visit.

Awesome falafel on warm, soft pita that they make in the store. A great, healthy lunch place! The prices aren’t too bad either.

THE best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to— it was almost impossible to get a reservation even a week in advance. The Spicy creamy crab was memorable, and the squid pasta, shrimp tempura roll, and 2 desserts (bento box and Huckleberry Pistachio maki roll) made it an unforgettable dinner. The service and ambience were impeccable- definitely worth the splurge.

Thai cuisine is my favorite- and this place is the best place for Thai food. It is moderately priced, has a great, fun atmosphere with a reflecting pool, and fabulous desserts! I recommend the Drunk Man’s noodle and molten chocolate cake with ice cream.

This is a great place for a special occasion (I went here on my birthday), and it has all the elements of a fantastic restaurant; great, creative food, patient and friendly staff, and a casual yet intimate atmosphere. the Kobe beef is the best thing on the menu, it’s expensive but worth it.
