Seriously this is the BEST sushi restaurant in San Diego (and trust me, my family and I have eaten everywhere). Their crunchy rolls are to die for and the service is fantastic. Food is of the utmost quality and they NEVER skimp on fresh ingredients. If you don’t believe me, ask the huge line outside their door every single night. It’s a great family place to a great place to have a date :D

Not many people know this but Ginza is actually a combination of Japanese and Chinese cuisine. It’s Chinese food are pretty good (the cream cheese wantons looked amazing) but most people go there for the sushi.
The sushi is fresh and literally mouth-watering. It’s a bit pricey but overall you just simply cannot beat the quality of the sushi. The scallop rolls are amazing.
TIP: Ask for Jimmy, the chef. He makes the most incredible rolls!

I am ALWAYS down for Luna Grill. I eat there at least once a week and I’m amazed by their good food whenever I decide chomp on some feta-cheese fries or a hot lamb gyro.
It’s a great place, tiny and comfortable and reminds you of your own kitchen at home. The people are always nice and willing to help and you really get the most out of what you pay for. Yay for Luna Grill!

When I’m at Buca, I always think of sitting in a huge room with a bunch of family yattering in my ear.
I love it. The clang of the plates, the size of the portrions and the overall quality of the food. It’s excellent. The Mozzarella Bread always makes my mouth water and the pastas are spectacular. So pull up a chair and bring your entire family. Buca is definitley a good place to go!

To be honest, I haven’t tried their entrees but Villa Capri is a great place for coffee and dessert. The waiters are funny and the service is so hospitable. They seriously treat you like family. I love the tiramisu and the portions are quite large. All and all, good place for a chow down!

Like any other small sushi restuarant Litle Tokyo serves adequate sushi. The service is thoughtful, however I’m not impressed with the rolls. The rolls are a little to skimpy and small for the price you’re paying for.
But their lunch specialities are reasonably fair. I suggest a Sushi Combo that comes with a salad, soup, gyozo and two rolls of your choice.
A great place for a casual lunch date but not the best pick for dinner.

I’ve been eating sushi for the past seven years.
Mr.Wasabi’s is great for those who want a quick sushi run and that’s it. I was not impressed with the quality of the sushi, nor the price of the rolls. (Although they do have a spectacular sale on Tues. and thursday -$1 sushi!) The service is decent and the atmosphere is adequate.
Yet still drop in on tues. and thurs. and try their Nigiri. For only a $1 each.. it’s definitley worth a visit.

The Cheesecake Factory.
Known for their delectable cheesecake, they’re also known for their amazing food. They have everything from Chinese to Thai to American to Mexican. Seriously, everything you think of, albeit sushi. I love the Cheesecake Factory because you get exactly what you pay for. High-quality, gourmet food in large portions. Their service is adequate and it’s always busy there. ALWAYS.
Tip: Always order cheesecake! It’s a must.
And if you’re in a party of four or over reservations are a very good idea. Many times, the wait can be 30-45 minutes long.

What I’ve noticed is that people are very particular about their boba.
Many have their preferences and my personal favorite would have to be bobalicious. I’ve had my fair share of boba around San Diego and this place is the most authentic. Prices are great, servings are great and I definitley recommend trying the Peach Smoothie with Boba. I make peach smoothies all the time at my house and seriously, it felt like drinking one of my homemade smoothies all over again. You can order popcorn chicken, french fries and relax over board games. Definitley a must boba stop!

I adore the Prado.
Yes the food is pricey but if you look at what you’re getting, it’s pretty darn reasonable. the service is very attentive and almost feels personalized. The surroundings are gorgeous from the candle-lit settings to the lights strewn over green tree walkways and fountains. I ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli and it was superb. Gourmet. And definitley memorable. The Prado does take a bang on your wallet but once in a while, it’s worth it. :)
