Best Thai Food in SF

I’ve tried a lot of Thai restaurants around SF and Berkeley but Osha’s top on my list. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very Mission hipster and the service is on par, but the food is exceptional. The currys, in particular, are the best.

Osha’s free delivery service is another huge plus. Watch out for the bad service on busy nights, however. My friends have not only been left on hold and neglected but also just hung up on!

Best pumpkin curry I’ve ever had! I order this dish 9 out of 10 times I eat Osha.

You can pick any meat (chicken, beef, pork, seafood) but I’ve found the duck to be the best.

This was quite bland and below average as far as Pad See Ews go.

great turkish food

This place has both a great atmosphere and delicious food. Try the casseroles here which my personal favorites—lots of really great spices and flavors. Be warned that the portions are quite sizable though so you may want to share. Don’t forget to save room for dessert and turkish coffee!

Sundried apricots with homemade cream, almond and pistachio. It’s a perfect combo of sweetness, creamy-ness, and a bit of nuttiness.

tasty homestyle japanese food

If you want to try something different than the sushi, visit this homestyle Japanese restaurant. The place itself consists of just a few tables adjacent to a tiny kitchen, giving it a homey feel to complement the meal. The way the menu works is you pick 2 main dishes for just $10. It also comes with soup, salad, and appetizer. All-in-all, very filling a very reasonably priced. Come with friends and it really would be like eating at home, family style!

little known japanese gem

the sushi at goemon is very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. it’s got the ambience of a traditional japanese restaurant (in contrast to many of the hipster sushi joints around these days), including a beautiful garden in the back. what’s even more amazing about this place is that it’s easy to get a seat—which means delicious japanese food is just minutes away!

i’ve been going to goemon for over 10 years, and have never been disappointed.

delcious f tapas

Great place to share tasty tapas with your friends. It was quite busy when we went but we got a seat at the bar which worked out just fine for us.

best shanghai dim sum

Lots of selection, delicious, and affordable place to go for a great classic shanghai breakfast. I typically order the sweet soy milk, onion pancakes (thick), sticky rice, and juicy dumplings. Also a great place to order for pick-up and enjoy the feast at home!
