Bourbon St in Harrisonburg
A wonderful up and coming restaurant with live bands and DJ. The restaurant is right on the main strip with ample parking and is handicap accessible!!. It has the ability for customers to eat outside (weather permitting) at quaint tables and chairs. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The owners themselves are hands-on and care about their investment. There are live bands on Saturday nights which really add to the experience. The bartender was professional, attentive and a great mixologist. The interior has exposed brick walls where customers can chalk on their name (of course I just HAD to do it) It was clean and appropriately lit with great seating. The food was awesome and the prices were commensurate to the quality and portions of food.

Bourbon Street Jambalya
This dish had chicken and sausage both of which were tender, juicy and NOT chewy or fatty. It also had peppers, onion, tomatoes, wonderful spices served over cajun rice. It was served hot with very little wait time and exceeded my expectations.I had asked for it spiced hot and got exactly what I requested. They did inform me that they offer all of their dishes mild if customers prefer. I was stationed in Mississippi while in the military and this is what I remember about cajun/creole food. The portion was very generous
