pizza rustica is the best pizza in town. thats not a very bold claim considering how small “montclair” is but i could easily go on to say that it is by far the best pizza i have ordered for delivery in all of oakland. yeah. thats right actually now that i think about it. pizza rustica is the best pizza in oakland! (zacharys and cheeseboard are in berkeley) in addition to all the pizza pie, they have amazing chicken. they offer three varieties. i recommend the paprika spiced chicken. they offer great salads and side dishes as well. spinach and mashed potatoes are a sure shot. greek salad has a lot of cucumber but its fairly good. the pizza at this place is on point. i recommend it!

most of the food at the silver palace is excellent. stick with dishes that you are familiar with and it is very hard to go wrong. the only thing i did not love at the silver palace was the create your own chicken i ordered with garlic sauce. it was very tasty except there was not nearly enough chicken in the dish. the pieces were incredibly small and there wasnt enough of them. another thing i was critical about was the shrimp fried rice. they use very very small shrimp. i prefer the larger shrimp. however, the rest of the food was unbelievable. all of the appetizers were excellent. the eggrolls and chicken wings were excellent. i wouldnt hesitate to order from the silver palace again. it is an excellent retaurant!

they have a great selection of fine italian food items. many traditional italian deli goods. great cheese. great meat. usually fairly freindly staff. this is one of three or four AG’s i have been to. i like it alot aside from some of the prices.

i wish that they delivered but they are one of the better chinese restaurants in the entire east bay. i love the garlic chicken and the hot and sour soup. stick with traditional items and things you know and its hard to go wrong. i have eaten at shin shin many times and i will be honest in saying that they do have their bad days from time to time. its happened to me once out of about ten times but im sure you will love it

some of the better sushi in oakland. it is very good and very fresh. the menu is fairly basic, traditional japanese cuisine no over the top or hyped up items on the menu. if you are looking for a good piece of sushi, go to toshi sushi. it is a very small place. quaint one might say. i have been there several times and plan to return. if i am in montclair or anywhere in the east bay tishi sushi is a great place to go.

the hostesses make up for what the food lacks. its definitely nothing special. the clam chowder is always pretty good and the bread is great but the burgers and entrees are lacking in my opnion. go for a game and a beer. or to flirt with some cute girls.
