our favorite!

This restaurant is our favorite. We have eaten in some very fine restaurants in much larger cities. Julianos dinner menu changes monthly, always with a variety of delicious and different entrees and desserts. Dinner prices run from about $16 – 26, desserts about $5. Many locals seem to think it expensive, but it is the same as or less than the other nicer restaurants in the area, with a pleasant, quiet atmosphere and friendly and knowledgable staff. Reservations are recommended. This is Montana, so even in the biggest city in the state, dress is generally casual. You will see some levis, although a nice shirt and slacks for the men (there may be some suits and ties, but it’s not necessary) and slacks or skirt and top for women are the norm. Local produce and meats are used in season. The freshly baked bread is wonderful, and a piece of complimentary sushi (no raw fish) is a small appetizer. Dinner portions are generous, even for Montana, and especially compared to those in most other cities. DO save room for dessert. We try to get there at least once a month, because the changing menu offers so many outstanding dishes from which to choose. It if difficult and expensive to get a full liquor license in Montana, so only beer and wine are available, but don’t let that stop you. There are many places to get a drink, but few with anywhere near the food you’ll find here!
