r.tl is regional tasting lounge, and expect to find food from regions of the world, as regional here does not mean local food, but quite the opposite. The saffron mussels, fesenjun and barenjena stood out in the food menu. A mean Sazerac if you’re into cocktails, the bartender is THE MAN. Good atmosphere with nice lighting, and a bit unique.
Dishes I tried:
Fesenjun Deconstruction
A rather sweet and sour dish with a mix of special pomegranate and wulnut sauce on juicy chicken breast. Lots of flavour, and I think one of the most unique on the menu. Colorful pesentation and I could not get enough of the sauce.
Barenjena
Vegetarian eggplants and manchego cheese, this one is like lasagna without the starch. The eggplant is pan seared and has a lot of flavour, not being a big fan of eggplant I must say the best eggplant execution I have ever had, and actually enjoyed this.
