Wayne's Pizza
Oct 2, 2008
extremely nice people and a good basic pizza
foremost – unlike most I go there for the greek salad – a big chunk of feta, olives, peppercini (sp?), onions. peppers, tomato…etc. it’s very generous in size and I always ask for grilled chicken on the side – a very filling and healthy dinner.
because the people are so nice I’d like to give 4 stars but this place isn’t trying to be “haute pizza” and 4 star in my mind goes to a more high end food product. – you can get a really solid, basic ‘za here – once my husband complained that his pizza was undercooked but I haven’t found that to be a problem.
wish they offered a nice thin crust pizza.
- I came here for
- a meal on the go
- My meal cost
- less than $10
- I tipped
- less than 15%
Armsby Abbey

best thing that's happened to worcester in ages
I’m so excited by this place and fear that I will become an addicted barfly -
armsby abbey is a beautifully renovated bar/bistoesque joint on main street.
I’m not a beer drinker- more of a wine drinker – but the vast number of beers on tap and in the bottle (about 150) makes trying something new really fun – there is a beer for everybody, you just need to try lots of types. and the cocktail menu is incredible – and if you like trying unique spirits you won’t find anywhere else, you’ll find them here.
the food is reasonably priced and high quality (and a friend that’s a strict vegetarian loves that there are multiple options for her as well) -
I’ve had the empanadas which are really good (but would be even better if they added a little side of sauce) which are a dealy $6 (a great snack at the bar) – and I’ve had one of the pzzas – somehow they’ve done something novel with the traditional pizza – ours was garnished with lettuce and tomatoes which may sound strange but it was great – I also recommend the curry pizza.
I also had a unique special of the day – a watermelon coconut soup – I like the creativity the chef shows.
the only downsides are lack of parking (onstreet only) – during the day it’s a bit hard to get a place due to the large number of employees in the area that have taken up all the spaces in front of the bar/restaurant – but walking a block isn’t a big deal. secondly – the seats at the bar are awesome – really comfy with great support – but all the seats at the other tables are stools and being someone with a mediocre back I’m not a fan.
also I wish they carried more wines – but this place is about the beer as I said.
overall I am thrilled about this place and I will hopefully become a regular – I wish them the best of luck because it’s a gem of a little place -give them a try.
Nancy Chang Worcester Restaurant

worst take out I have ever recevied
my lemon chicken was just a giant piece of fried rubber. the salad had cheap tasteless tomatoes with crappy dressing one can get out of a bottle at price chopper. The soup had nearly no shrimp even though it was $8. I am horrified that they advertise themselves as a high end, healthy chinese food establishment because this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. I had to throw it out because it was so horrible.
