Tuna Town

Mar 1, 2008 Link

Too club like atmosphere than restaurant

Tuna Town is more like a place to hang out and grab some cocktails with friends than a place to eat really experience great sushi. The emphasis was definitely put into the clubby atmosphere and cocktail list than the food. The rolls were good. But it was hard to eat when the music was so loud and the lights so dim.

Zubies Dry Dock

Casual spot to grab a pitcher and food!

Nice casual spot for food with friends or family. Resaonably priced for decent food. Sports bar/restaurant vibe. Has a full bar with many beer options, seafood, steak options. Salad bar could be better (but those who go there probably aren’t looking for salad). Seating is on benches with many TVs broadcasting the current sports game. More of a “guys” spot than a place to take your lady.

    really big portions, definitely sharable

Awesome View and great food!

Drink margaritas while watching a great view of Laguna. The margaritas are great and so is the guacamole!! Great place to take a date!

Max

My favorite Italian!

Charming place, great outdoor patio outside with clothes hanging from clothes pins. You can even smoke on the patio. Great selection of wines and delicious sangria. Everything is reasonably priced and the menu is small and tight which i like (better all good options than too big and average food) Inside is pretty cramp and gets crowded fast, but it only proves it is really good. Not a good spot for groups but maybe for a date. Has a downtown hipster crowd, located just above the L.E.S/ east village area. The only thing I dislike is the cash only policy and no reservations unless you have a big party. It is better than Franks (on 2nd ave). This is not the same Max ’s in Soha.

Bricklane Curry House

Yummy Indian!

I love this place, and go there often. The chicken tikka masala is great, and so are the sizzler entrees. Great place to go with a group or a date, I think the food is the best on the indian row block (6th street). The bar drinks/ wine are average.

What I ate:
  • *****

Creamy and just the right portion size

  • *****

Great selection of seafood, ask for a side of the masala sauce to make it even more better!!

Great Lunch Deal!

Wow this place is great! I went there after looking on Menuism for a good lunch spot. I love Indian, and this is one of the best indian food I’ve had. Plus all the patrons were from India so you know it must be good. For only $8.95 you can have an all you can eat buffet with so many dishes to choose from. You can sample a new dish you been meaning to try. They also give you great condiments, dessert and lots of vegetarian options too. Very nice spacious, clean spot for such a deal!!

Yumsters!

Perfect spot to take a date or hang out with friends. Definitely felt like I am in New York when I ate here. Sophisticated menu selection, everything I ordered was delicious. Nice patio setting and modern decor. Not only great for dinner but just a spot to grab drinks!
I definitely recommend it to anyone.
