Classy and affordable
Brunch here is NYC’s best-kept secret – there was a one-hour wait everywhere around, but RP was practically empty!
Brunch is super cheap, with almost everything less than $8. Plus, for an extra $8, you get endless drinks.
They give you free rolls and mini-muffins, both awesome (try the jam). The coffee’s good and though the cups are small, you get free refills.
All egg dishes are great. Omelettes (including the egg-white one) are neither fluffy nor thin – a happy medium. Not rubbery or brown at all.
The potatoes were not great – not bad, but not great. They were nicely seasoned (paprika and maybe cumin?) but completely mushy. I like potatoes crispy on the outside.
Service friendly but erratic. Alternated between hovering and absent.
Dishes I tried:
Egg white omelette with mushrooms
Perfect texture. Filled with a mushroom ragout – nice twist. Comes with a salad of spring mix and a side of ok potatoes.
