Good for drinks?
30 minute wait in the hot sun for lunch on a Tuesday, very popular place. Once we were to our table, sitting outside was so relaxing. You’re right at the lake and people are coming and going from the beach. The food however, and I can only speak for the lunch menu, left much to be desired. I had a chicken caesar salad that had some vinegar like dressing, not a caesar dressing, was coated in cheap powdered parmesan cheese and the tasteless chicken seemed like the chicken you get from a can… for $14. My husband had the fish and chips and the fries clearly had been sitting under a heating lamp for some time. Very disappointed in the food but really enjoyed being there. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and attentive. I would go again…. but pretty sure it’d just be for drinks.

fish and chips
fish was pretty yummie, fries stale. flavor and fresh ingredients are not a priority at this place or what?

YUM
My favorite breakfast ever. HUMONGOUS portions for so cheap. I found this little place tucked out of the way in San Diego from Rachel Ray’s show $40 a day… such a comfy little place. Full of regulars and good food!
Dishes I tried:
omelette
I don’t remember the price, but it was so much food… it came with a humongous biscuit and potatoes and wow, everything you could ever want. i wish i could have taken it all to go for my next three breakfasts!

Sunday Brunch
I absolutely love this place for Sunday Brunch. A wonderful place to go on a lovely day to sit outside on the ship’s deck on the Sacramento River. I especially love how you can add on endless champagne and fruit for just a few bucks more.
Dishes I tried:
Breakfast Burrito
Soooo delicious! This is no burrito from a taqueria, it was divine fine food!

remember to take cash!
They do have an ATM incase you forget, but the restaurant does only accept cash. I really love this place for breakfast or for lunch! But especially for the chicken gumbo at lunch time.
Dishes I tried:
Chicken Gumbo
I wish I could eat this everyday! It’s really lovely.

so good!
Prepare for a looong wait. But it’s not like there isn’t anything to keep you occupied while you wait, you’re at Pier 39. It was actually a really romantic dinner once we were seated. Beautiful views of the the bridge and lights glistening off the sea. Very fun environment, lots going on to entertain you, yet we felt really cozy at our table. The mahi mahi was delicious, the stuffed shrimp makes my mouth water thinking about it. And I wish I could remember what they were called, but the hush puppie like appetizer…. pick some of those up for sure!
