Moon Thai & Japanese

Very Good Thai Retaurant-Family Friendly
We’ve visited several times and enjoy the friendly greetings, adequate service and noisy neo-modern atmosphere with a wide variety of Thai and Sushi dishes.
There is no pretense, the servings are plentiful and the service prompt and friendly. Prices are quite moderate, the food prepared as you wish (for spiciness) and there is a wide variety of drinks.
This is a terrific place for a family meal.

Bourbon Steak at the Fairmont

Wow-Delicious, Gorgeous and Expensive
The place is strikingly handsome-dark walls, shimmering fixtures, a beautiful bar and a dining area reminiscent of the best of the Four Seasons in New York. The look and feel set the tone for the food and service. We were greeted well at a striking podium, promptly shown to our table and the wait staff were both effective and respectful to not interfere with our conversation. The duck fat fries with three sauces were perfectly prepared, the piquant red sauce was my favorite. The cocktails were wonderful albeit pricey at $14 each; the facccacia bread that followed was out of this world-so much so that our dining companions who NEVER eat bread had seconds and even thirds of this sensational tasting morsel.
Our main courses, all surprisingly ample in size were a variety: the New York Strip Steak was called “sensational”, the salmon outstanding and my tapioca crusted yellow tail snapper served on tropical fruit basmati rice was both innovative and delicious. The sides were adequate, we had creamed spinach and an enormous baked potato, these two were enough for four of us. Dessert and freshly pressed French coffee were quite good.
So here we have a beautiful restaurant with very good service, unusual and excellent food with a very high price but well worth it for a special occasion dining celebration.
