I love Kin Lin. I went to school at UMKC and we ate here frequently. Its not the best chinese food in the world (I lived in China, I know) but its good, its fresh and the people are super nice. I love the day time waiter, the young guy who is super friendly. He remembers you and gives you a high five if you come in often enough.

The veggies are good, the specials are good, and the people are wonderful.

I just wish they had more tofu options.

Pizza 51 is across the street from my law school. I ate here a lot, especially my first year. I have a special place in my heart for these people, the food and the atmosphere. I can’t find a better place to sit outside with a pitcher of beer and watch the world go by.

The food is good, its the weird type of KC pizza that is a huge thin slice that is sliced into a bunch of smaller slices… sounds weird, it is, but its helpful, especially if you dont like to hold a huge slice of pizza. The dough is fresh, the cheese is good. This place gets packed for lunch b/c of the students so be prepared.

I love their breadsticks, their salads and their pizza. I always go the lunch special with a salad and a drink for $8. The food always filled me up, their salad dressings are homemade and the pizza is made to order.

Muddy’s is another one of those places that I hold dear to my heart. I remember trembling in fear of my final exams and sitting in Muddy’s with my mocha and bagel waiting to get pummeled by another law exam.

Their coffee is fresh, tasty and quality. Their food (bagels) are my favorite.

You’re always in for a treat with the clientele because of how diverse they are.

The employees are FANTASTIC! Especially the guy who works during the day, mid-30s perhaps, who is sweet as can be and always took great care of me.
